Postdoc - evolutionary single-cell genomics
full-time (100%)
The position is located in the newly established department of Evolutionary Plant Sciences, headed by Prof Shuqing Xu. Supported by other group members, the candidate will work on the evolution of gene functions and regulations at cellular level using use the state-of-the-art single-cell genomic tools. During the project, the candidate will mature his/her scientific skills and develop independence in project planning and management skills. The candidate is encouraged to apply for additional third-party funding to establish his/her own subgroup.

In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in § 57 of the Hochschulgesetz of Rhineland-Palatinate.
What we have to offer:
The position is paid according to EG 13 TV-L and is to be filled on 1. November 2022 or as early as possible. The position is available for 3 years, with the possibility for an extension for another 3 years. The position can serve the purpose of habilitation.
