The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Augsburg is offering 11 positions for

doctoral researchers (Dr. rer. nat. and Dr. rer. biol. hum. candidates, m/f/d)

as of summer 2025.

These positions are associated with the newly established AUgsburg Research School on EnvironMENT - Disease Interactions (AUGMENT). AUGMENT provides a structured and interdisciplinary training program. Its research explores how environmental stressors affect different organ systems as well as therapeutic approaches and response. Research activities will be carried out in our laboratories in Garching near Munich or in Augsburg, depending on the research project the candidate will be joining. As part of this initiative, the following principal investigators from the University of Augsburg are seeking doctoral researchers for their research projects:

Your Profile:

• A university master’s degree in natural sciences, health sciences, or a related field that qualifies for doctoral studies in Germany. For degrees from non-German institutions, the equality with a German university degree at master’s level must be ensured.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) at a B2 level.
• Strong academic performance.
• Enthusiasm and dedication to conducting independent research.
• First experience in independent project work.
• Team-oriented with the ability to thrive in an international research environment.

The required qualification must already be proven in the application documents by means of appropriate certificates.
