Head of Proteomics Core Facility Unit (#CFHP01)
The newly founded Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB, http://www.imb-mainz.de/core-facilities/) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located at Johannes Gutenberg- University in Mainz, Germany. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who combines technical and research expertise with strong communication skills.
You will
- set up and shape a new advanced proteomics group work in interdisciplinary teams to solve scientific questions addressed by IMB
- collaborate with our scientists on several projects in parallel
- support and train in-house scientists apply for grants
- undertake technology development
Required qualifications
- university degree/PhD in Life Sciences or relevant field
- extensive practical experience in Proteomics experience in the field of quantitative and qualitative mass spectrometry incl. sample preparation, analytics, data evaluation
- excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication
Desirable qualifications
- successful interdisciplinary collaborations experience in user support or core facility work
- experience in academic or commercial research environments
- skills experience in grant acquisition and project management
