Our goal is to cultivate collaboration among the Institutes themselves and to increase the visibility and reception of the Institutes’ research output around the world.

Max Planck Law belongs to the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, one of the world’s most distinguished and successful research organizations. Since its establishment in 1948, the Max Planck Society has brought forth 29 Novel Prize laureates. The Max Planck Society conducts fundamental research in the natural sciences, life sciences, social sciences, and the humanities at the highest level of excellence. The 86 institutes, some of which are also located outside Germany, focus on research fields that are particularly innovative and call for a highly developed infrastructure.
