The Helmholtz Centre Potsdam – GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences is the national research centre for Earth sciences in Germany. With approx. 1260 employees, the GFZ is conducting interdisciplinary research on the "System Earth" and the influence of humans on the planet. Your responsibilities:
editing publications, proposals and presentations
drafting budgetary and other administrative documents
assistance with arrangements of meetings and coordination of efforts
interactions with stakeholders within Germany and EU Commission
writing scientific proposals and coordinating multi-campus science projects
performance of various administrative tasks
Your qualifications:
Master’s degree in Geosciences or related disciplines
excellent knowledge of English (native speaker or equivalent level preferred)
ability to interact with scientists and engineers
ability and willingness to perform complex administrative tasks
ability to work in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment
experience with large international programs
exceptional organizational skills
Excel and MS Office, Latex skills are a plus
Starting date:as soon as possible
Fixed term:1 year with possibility of extension for additional 2 years
Working hours:full-time (currently 39 h/week)
The position is, in principle, suitable for part-time employment.
Salary:The pay scale grouping will be according to pay group 13 TVöD-Bund (Tarifgebiet Ost) provided that all tariff related and personal requirements are met.
Location:Potsdam
