DESY expands its research on novel plasma-based accelerators for future applications in health, photon science, and particle physics. With KALDERA, DESY is developing a novel high-performance laser system to drive next-generation laser-plasma accelerators. In this context, we are searching for a highly motivated assistance to support the project leader and scientific project manager of the KALDERA project.

About your role:

  • Organisation of project reporting
  • Support financial controlling
  • Correspondence (multi-lingual, especially English and German)
  • Support of travel affairs and visitors
  • Organisation of events, workshops and seminars
  • General support of the MLS group

About you:

  • Trained in commercial field or administration or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with aspects of project management
  • Solid background in software tools, such as office, SAP, and others
  • Experience in the organisation of workshops and seminars
  • Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills
  • Work in an independent and structured manner
  • Fluent in German and English, speaking and writing
