E-Commerce Management and Digital Business

The new study programme E-Commerce at the Campus Chiemgau, start October 2022, aims at empowering students to embark on successful careers in the growing field of e-commerce and digital business. It combines a strong foundation in business administration skills with an up-to-date, specialised education around e-commerce and technology. Bridging theory and practice will be achieved by a close cooperation with thriving local businesses and global leaders. As the first E-Commerce Bachelor´s degree programme offered at a German university of applied sciences in English, it will prepare students as well for international requirements.

Your tasks

• Participation in applied research projects around e-commerce and digital business
• Support in the setup and implementation of the new Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme “E-Commerce” as well as in the development of life-long learning (or further education) programmes for the region
• Achieving a Doctoral degree will be encouraged

Your background

• A completed university degree, preferably in Business Studies, Technology Studies (e.g., Management and Engineering) or similar fields
• Optional a successful doctoral degree or passed second state examination in the corresponding subject
• Optional at least two years of full-time scientific or practical experience working in a relevant field after the doctoral degree
  or second state examination
• Passion for digital business models, ideally practical work experience and/or internships in e-commerce companies
• Strong analytical skills in combination with a creative mindset
• Being a team player, embracing a positive can-do attitude
• Very good English and German language skills
