Postdoctoral fellow in X-ray multibeam ptychographic imaging at PETRA III / MAX IV

The project aims to advance the ptychography technique by parallel illumination of the sample by several focused beams to utilize an incoherent fraction of the synchrotron beam to speed up the experiment. The main goal is to bring the performance of multibeam ptychography to a general user level for routine operation.

About your role:

  • Design and simulations of the optical scheme for X-ray multibeam ptychography
  • Commissioning of the optics, set-up integration
  • Experiments with end-user, experimental data evaluation (ptychography/tomography)

About you:

  • Ph.D. in physics or related field
  • Experience in performing experiments at synchrotron
  • Experience with scanning/full field coherent X-ray imaging/microscopy or ptychography and/or tomography
  • Solid experience with programming (C#, C++, Python)
  • Hands-on experience with Fourier optics
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in an international and multi-disciplinary team with English as a working language
