Die THI ist bundesweit herausragend in Forschung und Lehre. Im Rahmen der HighTech Agenda Bayern wurde Ingolstadt zum KI-Knoten für Mobilität mit den Schwerpunkten autonomes Fahren, unbemanntes Fliegen und KI-gestützte Produktion. Die Aktivitäten des KI-Knotens werden in “AImotion Bavaria“, einem In-Institut der Technischen Hochschule, gebündelt.
AImotion Bavaria hat das Ziel, bis 2025 insgesamt 100 Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftlerinnen im Bereich der Künstlichen Intelligenz aufzubauen. Ziel ist es, einen Beitrag zur Absicherung der Technologieführerschaft des Standorts Bayern, zur Stärkung seiner Schlüsselindustrien und zur Sicherung seiner Zukunftsfähigkeit in ökologischer, ökonomischer und sozialer Perspektive zu leisten. (The THI is one of Germany’s leading universities in the fields of applied science and education. No wonder, then, that the TH was chosen for the AI Hub for Mobility with focus on autonomous driving, unmanned air traffic and AI-controlled production within the framework of the High-Tech Agenda Bavaria (HTA). Those AI-activities are pooled at the institute “Almotion Bavaria”. Almotion Bavaria was launched to build up a network of 100 scientists in the fields of Artificial Intelligence by 2025. It’s aim is to strengthen Bavaria’s technological leadership and key industries as well as to secure it’s ecological, economic and social future.)

Ihre Aufgaben - Your tasks

• Sie erarbeiten Methoden zur sicheren Verwendung von KI-basierten Komponenten in sicherheitskritischen Systemen der Mobilität. (You will develop methods for the safe use of AI-based components in safety-critical mobility systems.)
• Sie erarbeiten Methoden zur Erhöhung des Automatisierungsgrades und der Adaptivität von Systemen der Mobilität. (You will develop methods to increase the degree of automation and adaptivity of mobility systems.)
• Sie verwenden Modellbasierung zur Implementierung und Evaluierung der erarbeiteten Konzepte im Rahmen von Software- und Hardwareprototypen. (You will use model-based methods to implement and evaluate the concepts developed in the course of software and hardware prototypes.)
• Sie setzen eigene Themenschwerpunkte, verfassen wissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen und nehmen an nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen teil. (You set your own thematic priorities, write scientific publications, and participate in national and international conferences.)
• Sie wirken an der Erstellung und Bearbeitung von Förderanträgen und Einwerbung von Drittmitteln mit. (You will be involved in the preparation of funding applications and their conduction and the acquisition of third-party funding.)
• Sie betreuen Abschlussarbeiten und unterstützen ideenreich den Forschungs- und Lehrbetrieb der Professur. (You will supervise theses and provide imaginative support for the research and teaching erea as well as support the research and teaching  activities of the professorship.)
• Ein Promotionsvorhaben wird begrüßt und gefördert (Pursuing a doctorate/PhD is highly encouraged and supported)

Ihr Profil - Your profile

• Überdurchschnittlicher Hochschulabschluss (Master, Diplom oder gleichwertig) in Informatik, Flug- und Fahrzeuginformatik oder Künstlicher Intelligenz mit einer Spezialisierung auf Software- und/oder Systems Engineering z. B. Engineering von KI/ML, verteilte Softwarearchitekturen, adaptive Systeme, Test/Verifikation, Programmsynthese, modellbasiertes Software- und Systems Engineering. (Above-average university degree (master's degree, diploma, or equivalent) in computer science, aircraft and vehicle informatics or artificial intelligence with a specialisation in software and/or systems engineering; e.g. engineering of AI/ML, distributed software architectures, adaptive systems, test/verification, programme synthesis, safety engineering, model-based software and systems engineering.)
• Fundierte Programmierkenntnisse in Java, C++ oder Python (Sound programming skills in Java, C++ or Python)
• Vertiefte Kenntnisse in theoretischer Informatik und Interesse an der Anwendung formalen Methoden sind vorausgesetzt. (In-depth knowledge of theoretical computer science and interest in the application of formal methods are required.)
• Ihr Profil wird durch ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit, hohe Eigenverantwortlichkeit, gutes Organisationsvermögen sowie die Bereitschaft den Stand der Technik deutlich zu übertreffen abgerundet. Es handelt sich um eine auf 48 Monate befristete Vollzeitstelle mit einem Umfang von 40,10 Wochenstunden im Angestelltenverhältnis. Unsere Stellen sind grundsätzlich teilzeitfähig, sofern durch Job-Sharing die ganztägige Wahrnehmung der Aufgabe gesichert ist. Die Vergütung erfolgt nach TV-L in Entgeltgruppe 13.
